Yeah, those dudes. You know, the local ones that rock quite heavily here in San Francisco!
The same ones who sell their posters for less than you can buy a bottle of beer at the shows! Now, I am not saying they are a bunch of poster boys or posers at that…but damn, they do know how to ham it up. Have you visited the Disastroid website? Tell me I am wrong, I dare you.
I mean really, have you ever been to a Disastroid show… or any show that hands out ear plugs if you simply visit their table of “stuff?” Stuff that they schlep for next to nothing? In this economy? Really? How do they eat?
Anyways, those guys give out ear plugs at their shows…cuz it is so frickin’ LOUD!!! I guess they don’t wanna get sued cuz it ain’t because they suck…so….AMEN! Rock & Roll is still kicking and these guys are kicking @$$! I have witnessed the growth during the past couple of years and they are gettin’ tighter and tighter with their licks…come to think about it…they caught my attention after they picked up that schmuck from Vancouver, eh…man, he can play the bass! So I guess he isn’t really a schmuck but darn tootin’ I just like that word “SCHMUCK!” But seriously, have you seen him dance while playing, eh?
Maybe I should video that next time…who knows, maybe I did but I am teasing you cuz ya’ll should check these guys out at their next show at the Uptown opening for Helmet and see for yourselves. Or just hit play on this video by Steinberg Imagery, a backpack journalist spreading the good word! Oh, and tell your frickin’ friends to step up and support some local artist by either purchasing a photo or CD of the bands music! Uhm, thanks for stopping!
