A Capella version of the “Star-Spangled Banner” by Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory

When was the last time you experienced fever pitched excitement?

There is something about being at a ballgame in these United States and the crescendo of “Land of the Free!” during our National Anthem, that if done well, excites the crowd into a roar of approval. The eyes of the chorus widen with gratitude from hearing the adulation of the Giants’ fans. San Francisco’s Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Chorus sang “The Stat-Spangled Banner” a Capella for the 2010 World Series Champion Giants first home game (Spring League) in 2011 against the Oakland Athletics. The Giants won the game 4-3.

Here are a few images I made of the Chorus outside of AT&T Park before performing in front of the Giant’s fans welcoming home the 2010 World Series Champions, “Our San Francisco GIANTS!”

Of course, I couldn’t resist making a few images of the first 2011 home game of the 2010 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants as they played the Oakland Athletics after the mesmerizing a Capella performance. Looking forward to another great season by the Giants.

Steinberg Imagery is great for event and food photography!
